Our MissionAt the Collective Hands Foundation (CHF), our mission is to empower the youths in New York City as well as in Haiti by promoting recycle and integrating sustainable education programs with creative skills training. This will be done in partnership with NYC schools and community organizations to improve the coordination and effectiveness of local recycling and art programs in their area. Our ObjectivesAt Collective Hands Foundation, we aim to create awareness about the effectiveness of recycling through workshops and lectures in a variety of schools in the New York City area. We wants to encourage collaboration at the local level, which includes public and faith-based community organizations and schools, by organizing monthly events to showcase and promote the work of young artists and designers. We plan to work closely with educators with the goal of providing creative sustainable educational programming, advocacy skills, and other necessary tools to provide the training and support needed to facilitate these activities in their classrooms and communities.CHF will extend its efforts to help build and sustain a unique art and design school in Haiti, with the focus on locally recycled materials that provide sustainable housing in a clean and healthy environment.Collective Hands Foundation envisions a sustainable world, where recycling is a mindful routine for all individuals and communities worldwide. Through these endeavors, we hope to garner financial support and interest in a new progressive art and design school in Haiti, which will give hope to the Haitian people as they rebuild their country. Through our partnership with CHF and the NYC community, we intented to promote economic growth, artistic freedom, and education that support the youth, their families and artisans in Haiti and beyond.· Our first objective is to provide local youths with basic education about recycling and expand our efforts to create recycling groups that encourage others to explore the endless possibilities of re-using and upcycling.· Our second objective is to guide young entrepreneurs interested in marketing their products. After creating their wares, CHF will help them develop effective promotion strategies to sell their products.· Our third objective is to orient young artists and entrepreneurs in finding local resources for their natural handmade products, and encourage the use discarded items that reflect their artistic abilities and distinct personalities.

DECEMBER from the 16th to 23rd, 2010
We are organizing a Therapeutic Excursion/Collaboration Rejuvenate trip to Haiti.
The purpose and idea beyond that; is to provide to those of you who are so interested to know and discover the country, to visit and help, and to support our project in a way to view what is going on and to get more involved instead of just donating.
We will leave from JFK with 20 people minimum on the 16th of December via American Airlines to Port-au-Prince, Haiti and will be back to the States on the 23rd for you to spend Christmas eve and the rest of the Holidays with your family and friends.
In Haiti we will stay in a comfortable place by the sea, we will visit different areas, we will distribute our donations clothes, foods, shoes and anything you can and already donated to a well specific targeted area. Those packages are scheduled to be shipped early or end of October.
During your stay you will enjoy and introduce to the Haitian culture: music, food, art and will visit the area where the future Art and Design school will be located.
Nature is calling you; we need your help and support; call us today for your package info.

Île à Vache (also expressed Île-à-Vaches) (translated as Cow Island) is a small island lying off the south-west peninsula of Haiti near the town of Les Cayes. Administratively it is part of the Sud Department. In 1863, during the American Civil War, the island's owner Bernard Kock offered to resettle freed black slaves from the United States. Despite support from President Abraham Lincoln, funding never materialized, and the first attempt to set up the colony failed in a matter of months
